Awards Received
2013 Excellence Award (QCBS)
Granted by the Québec Centre for Biodiversity Science, this award provided funds for travel to the Canadian national conference for Ecology and Evolution (CSEE). Through this grant, I was able to present my research on a national platform, given insight to novel research being done in Québec to better understand Canadian aquatic ecosystems. Award value of $1580 CDN.
2012 Bourse Stage International (FQRNT)
Granted through the council for the Québec centre for biodiversity (QCBS), I was one of 3 Québec research granted funds for a placement in an international lab. The program aims to development collaborations and enhance networking between scientists of similar disciplines. Placement was held in Lunz Am See, Lower Austria with Dr. Martin Kainz for lipid biochemistry analysis. Award value of $4755 CDN.
2012 Bourse d’excellence de la Faculté des science pour les cycle supérieurs
Granted to graduate students at l’Université du Québec à Montréal for academic and research achievements, this bursary is to acknowledge success within the department of sciences. Award value of $5000.
2012 Federal Northern Research Grant
Award was successfully achieved for funds to aid in research on northern Québec lake systems in the Abitibi region and future climate change. Due to a study site location change to the Laurentian region of Québec, this award was declined. Award value of $2500 CDN.
